THE HANGING TREE

Ildiko has become the dictator’s hangwoman and is responsible for getting rid of a bevy of traitors each day. This morning she is outside preparing her noose when she is approached by Annica. Ildiko acknowledges her work as she speaks to Annica. Very quickly Annica informs Ildiko that she will be taking the day off. At first she is startled by the statement, but when Annica draws her gun, being merely startled turns into instant fear….and for good reason. Annica binds Ildiko’s hands and lets Ildiko feel the noose for a change. Turns out it’s a dead end job for poor Ildiko.
